91-Year-Old Man Killed in Lenasia Accident

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News, 2015-06-08

A 91-year-old man was killed and four others injured including three children when three cars collided along the K43
between the N12 freeway and the Trade Route Mall in Lenasia  today.

One child injured in the accident was airlifted to the Milpark Hospital.

The JMPD’s Wayne Minnaar says the exact cause of the accident will be investigated.

“A third car, a Ford Figo left the scene before officials arrived on the scene, the accident will be investigated to
determine exactly what had happened.”

Minnaar has urged motorists to drive with extra caution, refrain from speeding and switch on headlights especially during
the winter when the sun sets early to reduce accidents and deaths on South Africa’s roads.
