School Re-opening Postponement Recommended by NCCC

The National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) has recommended that the reopening of schools be postponed by two weeks according to Sunday Times Daily. Schools are set to open on January 27, now the NCCC says they should only open on February 15 due to the influx of new infections.

Education stakeholders including school governing body associations, the National Alliance of Independent Schools Associations (Naisa) and teacher unions met with the senior officials from the department of basic education on Wednesday evening.

This is a developing story, we will update the public as we learn more.
