Darul Uloom Azaadville Student Shot & Killed in Johannesburg

Aug 21, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 21-08-2018

Police are investigating a case of murder after an 18-year-old student from Darul Uloom Azaadville was shot and killed after ordering a taxi at Park Station in Johannesburg.

It’s understood the student and his friends were waiting for a taxi to take them home after returning from a trip to the Kruger National Park on Monday night when he was shot

Police say the group booked a second taxi when the first driver took too long to arrive.

The police’s Kay Makhubela says the motive for the shooting is being investigated.

“When they were waiting for the taxi to pick them up, the student was shot and died. We will be investigating the circumstances of the incident, but a case of murder was opened. We are continuing with our investigations.”
