Dua for the 15th Shaban

Sayyadatina Aisha RA narrates that the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam) told me: "On this night recite this Dua and teach it to others as well, for Jibraeel AS has taught it to me:

اعوذ بعفوك من عقابك واعوذ برضاك من سخطك واعوذبك منك جل وجهك لا احصئ ثناءا علىك انت كما اثنىت علئ نفسك

"a'oothu bi'afwika min eqaabik wa a'oothu bi ridhaaka min sakhatik wa a'oothu minka jalla waj'huk laa uhsee thanaa'an alayk anta kamaa athnayta alaa nafsik."

TRANS: I seek protection in Thy forgiveness from Thy castigation, and I seek shelter in Thy pleasure from Thy wrath, and I seek safety in Thee from Thee. I cannot fully praise Thee; Thou art have praised Thyself.
