Forensics Expert Called in to Investigate Cape Town Teen’s Murder

10/03/2016

By umm Muhammad Umar

Dr David Klatzow, a forensic expert, says he will not comment on the murder of 15 year old Franziska Blöchliger, until after he investigates the murder scene. The teenager’s body was found in Tokai Forest, Cape Town on Monday evening.

While Klatzow confirmed he had been approached regarding the murder, he would offer no further information. It’s believed Franziska was jogging through the forest on Monday afternoon, while out with her mother. According to reports, she was strangled and her body was dumped in bushes.

Western Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut said three suspects, between the ages of 22 and 27, were arrested on Tuesday evening. Dr David Klatzow apparently has more than 28 years experience and has lent his scientific knowledge and investigative skills to a number of high profile cases. These include the murders of mining magnate Brett Kebble and the Gugulethu 7.
