Gauteng Education MEC Lesufi Set to Announce 2022 Online Admission Period for Grades 1 & 8 on Sunday

Faizel Patel – 29/07/2021

Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is set to announce the 2022 online admission period for grades 1 and 8 on Sunday.

Lesufi is expected to highlight and demonstrate new changes and improvements to the 2022 Online Admissions process.

There has been a delay in the online admission process for Gauteng.

Meanwhile, thousands of pupils went back to the classroom on Monday for the start of the third term.

Schools were forced to close early last month for the winter holidays due to the third wave of COVID-19 infections

Lesufi says despite encountering some challenges, 98% of institutions in Gauteng are ready for the full return of primary school pupils to the classroom from next week.
