Gauteng Public Safety & JMPD to Visit Lenasia Man Allegedly Stabbed by Taxi Drivers

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 09-11-2017

The Gauteng MMC for Public safety Michael Sun says an official from his office and a JMPD delegation will be visiting a 32-year-old Lenasia man who was allegedly stabbed by striking taxi drivers.

Nadeem Hoosen claims he was travelling to work yesterday and was attacked by a group of taxi drivers who had blocked the N1 highway near Beyers Naude Drive after he asked them to move their vehicles so he could pass through.

Hoosen says JMPD officers spurred the taxi drivers on “to kill this Makula” as they watched them stabbing him without assisting.

Sun says they are very concerned about the allegations against the JMPD.

“We will be visiting him at his home, to make sure that he’s not badly injured. We really want to investigate allegations of Metro Police sitting back and not wanting to assist and even worse to say that the Metro Police officers actually encouraged protesting taxi drivers to harm the gentleman.”
