Hawks Raid Gupta’s Saxonwold Home

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 14-02-2018

The Hawks have swooped on the Gupta family home in Saxonwold as part of its investigation into state capture.

The crime fighting unit cordoned off the roads in the elite Johannesburg suburb on Wednesday morning.

Hawks spokesman Hangwani Mulaudzi told Times Live the raids are part of the larger state capture investigation.

“We are not playing around. We take this investigation very seriously. We will be releasing a statement soon about these and other raids that we are conducting.”

This is the first raid on the Guptas after speculation in recent weeks about seizure warrants that were being obtained.

It’s emerged the operation is also targeting Midrand‚ where the Guptas’ Sahara Computers is situated.
