“I addressed a group of orphans in Albania” – Moulana Sulaiman Moola recalls his trip to Albania

Radio Islam News Team – 25/01/2016

Scholar, lecturer & author of Islamic Sciences Moulana Sulaiman Moola spoke to Moulana Sulaiman Ravat on Sabahul Muslim earlier recapping his trip to Albania with the Rahma (Mercy) Akedemi.

I cannot possibly describe my joy and delight after visiting the academy of Rahma (Mercy) in Elbasan (Albania). Absolutely impressive.

Moulana Moola spoke about his experiences in the country which forms part of Eastern Europe.

He says the academy has purchased a 6000 sq. metre piece of land on the outskirts of Elbasan which was previously an alcohol factory.

“Unfortunately alcohol is very widespread in the country,  from the simple ‘spaza shop to a wholesaler and retailer, everybody practically carries alcohol.” said Ml Moola

Alhamdulillah,we just visited a new sight which Rahma (Mercy) has purchased in Albania.May Allah make it a center for khair to spread. Ameen

He added that although the weather was cold, rainy and windy, everyone’s spirits were high throughout the trip.

The Rahma (Mercy) Akademi is looking to develop itself during this year, which he says forms part of the reason he joined the academy in order to raise awareness.

Moulana Moola says that one needs to acknowledge and compliment the people who have been spending great amounts to develop the academy…

“The latest in terms of layouts and classroom structure, very well organised and systematic, starting from Montessori going right up until the higher grades.”

He says the most spiritual and uplifting visit was to the Madressah dedicated to orphans…

“There must’ve been like fifty orphans, and I went in there and tears just welled up because each one of them came from challenging situations.”

He added that there was one girl that spoke English, she stood up asking if she could speak on behalf of her friends…

“I 4 years, my father dead. I no religion, my mother very sick. Then I go church looking for religion, you people open this, then I come here and I find my Islam, I very happy with Islam. I pray every day, I put head on the floor. My heart happy all my sadness go.” she said- (Subhanallah)

All they said to us was, we love Allah Ta’alaa and our religion. Elderly and young alike. It was too emotional for words.

Moulana Moola says that after she said this, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, adding that the specific moment was just too much to take in.

Sadly the short and amazing trip to Albania has been concluded. Heading now for Tirana (Capital), Istanbul, Dubai & then to S.A Insha Allah.

“Spend (in charity) out of the sustenance that We have bestowed on you before that time when death will come to someone, and he shall say: “O my Lord! If only you would grant me reprieve for a little while, then I would give in charity, and be among the righteous.” 63:10
