Jamiatul Ulama Sponsors Computer Lab for Primary School in Atteridgeville

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 25-10-2017

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa says the new computer lab at the Bud Mbelle Primary School in Atteridgeville will go a long way in educating learners about technology.

The Pretoria North Muslim Educational Institute in conjunction with the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa Laudium branch, Siyafunda Community Technology Centre and other organisations launched the much needed lab on Tuesday.

The facility is part of an outreach programme that was undertaken by the organisation to empower learners in the computer field.

The Jamiats Moulana Abbas Jeena says it is the responsibility of Muslims to ensure the less fortunate in society are also taken care of.

“Alhamdulillah Muslims have schools that provide everything and it is necessary for us to look at people who are our neighbours, which are living next to us and deprived of all these necessities. So it necessary that we as Muslims should try and provide for others as well.”

The computers for the lab was sponsored by the Siyafunda Community Technology Centre.
