Lenasia Extension 1 & 2 is without power this Thursday morning.
It’s unclear what caused the power outage, but residents apparently heard a loud bang in the early hours of this morning.
It’s believed City Power officials are on site to assess the problem.
The city of Joburg’s Zarina Motala says there is no estimated time of restoration
“A call was logged at about 1:20am this morning. Khalil from Extension one heard a huge explosion. I went to the substation at about 4:30am. Eskom technicians are on site.”
Motala says she will update residents on the extent of the problem and estimated time of restoration of services.
