Lenasia Police Investigating after Body Found at Railway Line Opposite Military Base

Lenasia police have opened an inquest docket after a body of a man was found at the railway line opposite the SANDF Military Base.

It’s understood, officers found the man lying in the ditch and on top of the electricity wires.

The police’s Bafana Ndimande says the motive of the death is unknown at this stage.

“The paramedics were summoned to the crime scene and they certified the victim dead. The deceased was unidentified and estimated to be around his mid thirties. The pathologists were summoned to the crime scene and transferred the deceased to Diepkloof Government Mortuary.”

Ndimande has urged anyone  with the information that may lead to the family of the deceased or assist in the investigation to come forward.
