Lenasia Police Urge Residents to be Vigilant Following a Spike in Robberies & Hijackings in the Suburb

The Lenasia police station says it is experiencing an increase in common Robberies and hijackings in the suburb,

Police say they received and responded to a number calls relating to these crimes.

Spokesperson Bafana Ndimande says there is a great need to reduce such crimes.

“We appeal to the community to be vigilant at all times and accompany our elderly, and people with disabilities to the banking institutions and shopping complexes. The community is further advised to be on the lookout for Bogus Police Officers.”

Nadimande has urged the community to report any suspicious activity in Lenasia and surrounds to police
