[LISTEN] AB Dawjee: “How would Zionists have Reacted if they Were Attacked like the Palestinians at Al-Aqsa? Where is the Humanity?”

Faizel Patel – 08/05/2021

Political analyst and host of the Big Picture programme on Radio Islam, Abie Dawjee has on Saturday questioned the world’s humanity after Israeli soldiers stormed Masjid Al Aqsa in Palestine and injured over two hundred worshipers.

Israeli police fired rubber-coated metal bullets and stun grenades Palestinians as anger grows over the potential eviction of Palestinians from homes on land claimed by Jewish settlers in East Jerusalem.

Worshippers were performing the Taraweeh salaah on Friday night, the 26th night of Ramadan in Palestine when soldiers stormed the holy place.

Dawjee says the soldiers even attacked women and children while they were praying.

“They ran all over the carpets of Al Aqsa with their dirty boots. What would’ve been the world’s reactions if Jews were attacked in this way, in their holiest place on the holiest nights. How would Jews have reacted? The humanity of the world would have been evoked.”

Dawjee says the Jews always remind the world of the atrocities of the holocaust at the hands of the Nazi’s.

“After the Holocaust, Jews declared ‘never again’ meaning never must such atrocities be committed against anyone. Actually, the subtext meant it mustn’t be done against the Jews. How amazing it is that Jews are now doing such horrible things to other people. Where is the humanity?”

Dawjee says no one can defend what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians for the past seventy-five years.

“Israel can do whatever it wants to because it has the full support of the United States and no Muslim country has the power to stand up against the United States.”

Speaking to Radio Islam earlier, the Palestine Information Networks (PIN) Hafez Ebrahim Moosa says there is still a dark cloud hanging over the storming of Al Aqsa and whether Palestinians will be allowed in large numbers to congregate at the masjid on the 27th night of Ramadan.
