[LISTEN] Muslim Community Shattered by Passing of Ml Yunoos Daya (RA)

Faizel Patel – 07/08/2021

The Muslim ummah has been left shattered following the passing of Hazrat Moulana Yunoos Daya (RA).

The esteemed Islamic scholar who hailed from Marlboro in Johannesburg passed away on Saturday, 28 Thul Hijjah.

Ml Daya completed his hifz in Mias Farm together with Ml Abu Bakr Bhamjee many years ago and graduated as an Aalim at Darul Uloom Deoband.

Radio Islam’s Ml Obeidullah Bhoja and host of the Ulama profile says the ummah is heartbroken by the passing of Ml Daya.

“The news of the death of Hazrat Ml Daya saab (RA) has indeed left the Ummah orphaned once again.”

Ml Bhoja says Ml Daya had a great love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

“One aspect that always comes to light when you speak of the life or the personality of Hazrat Ml Yunoos Daya saab (RA) was the great and immense love that he had for Rasulullah (SAW). The different durood that he would read prior to his talks and that the great love that he would show when he would speak about Rasulullah (SAW) was indicative of the great amount of intense love of Nabi (AS) he had within him.”

Ml Bhoja made dua that Allah grant Ml Daya (RA) the highest stages of Jannah, fill his qabr with noor and accept all his services rendered to the Muslim community around the country.
