[LISTEN] Smart Wearable Technology Expected to Play Important Role in Health Sector

As the world continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic and with millions of infections and thousands of deaths from the virus, Chinese tech giant Huawei says smart wearable technology is expected to play a big role in the health sector.

Huawei unveiled six new products including smartwatches capable of measuring heart monitoring to track changes in blood oxygen, sleep and stress conditions.

Smart wearables have become an essential tool to not only keep fit, but also maintain and keep track of a healthy lifestyle.

Zhang Wei President of the Huawei Consumer Business Group Smart Wearable and Health Product Line says smart wearable have a popular human connection with the advantage of easy connectivity.

“I believe it will also be very important in the health sector as more and more sensors are built in the smart wearables.”

Wei says wearable can monitor more particulars of human health, predict the health conditions and have more health services.
