As the blessed month of Ramadan enters the last ten days, it’s emerged that more than 3.2 million people have read taraweeh at Masjid-un-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia during the first 15 days of the holy month.

According to the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques at least 1.4 million worshippers prayed inside the masjid while about 1.5 million prayed outside in the masjid’s plazas and 234,239 on the roof.

Saudi Gazette reports that as many as 669,048 pilgrims and visitors paid homage and conveyed the Islamic greeting As-Salaam-u-Alaikum to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his two companions Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Omar (RA) who are buried in Masjid-un-Nabawi.
