Pick n Pay in Trade Route Mall Lenasia Closed After Alleged Case of COVID-19 Infection

Pick n Pay has temporarily closed the supermarket in the Trade Route Mall in Lenasia due to an alleged COVID-19 case.

A notice on the on the door on Tuesday states the store will be closed until further notice.

Recently, a number of businesses and schools in Lenasia and Lenasia South have closed after reported cases of Coronavirus infections.

Lenasia including Orange Farm, Weilers Farm, Ennerdale, Eldorado Park and Protea South which are listed under Region G in the City of Johannesburg have recorded 1,445 cases of COVID-19 as of Monday.

Nationally, South Africa has recorded 144,264 infections while  2,529 people have succumbed to the virus.

Gauteng has a total of 39,841 COVID-19 infections
