Police Investigating Double Murder After Two Bodies Found Opposite Durban’s Suncoast Casino

Durban police are investigating a double murder after the bodies of a man and woman were found on the dunes at Durban’s beachfront opposite the popular Suncoast Casino in KwaZulu-Natal.

The grim discovery was made on Monday by a passer-by who was collecting pieces of scrap paper and bottles.

Police say they managed to identify the woman’s body as her handbag was found nearby while the man remains unidentified.

Spokesperson Jay Naicker says the motive for the crime not yet known.

“When police officers arrived at the scene, they found the bodies of a man and a woman lying on the dunes. The Woman had sustained multiple stab wounds to the body. The man had knife that was still protruding from his chest. Police officers at Durban Central are investigating a case of double murder.”

Naicker has appealed to anyone with information about the murder to contact the police.
