Police Investigating Murder Case After Man’s Body Found Lying on R558 in Lenasia

Police are investigating a case of murder after the body of an Indian man believed to be in his 30’s was found lying on the ground in Lenasia

It is understood the man’s body was found on Wednesday along the R554 in Extension 10.

Police say they received the information about the incident from paramedics who were on the scene.

Spokesperson Bafana Ndimande says the motive for the murder is being investigated.

“The victim sustained serious injuries on the upper body. The ambulance was summoned to the crime scene and certified him dead. The deceased is estimated to be in his mid thirties. The pathologists transferred the deceased to Diepkloof Government Mortuary.”

Ndimande has appealed to the community to assist police with any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
