As the leading and multi-award winning Islamic radio station in South Africa, Radio Islam has once again been nominated for radio station of the Year in the community category.

Having scooped the award in 2011, Radio Islam continues to extend its reach in South Africa and globally on various platforms including MW1548, audio streaming and DSTV Channel 826 amongst others.

The nomination by Liberty Radio Awards is an indication of the consistent and fervent efforts, commitment and dedication of Radio Islam International staff and also the high level of Islamic and secular content broadcast on our station to our loyal listeners, locally and internationally.

With a staff compliment of over 40 some of whom are nominees and winners at the Liberty Radio Awards, previously known as the MTN Radio Awards, Radio Islam has become a “must tune into” station across South Africa.

We ask the community and listeners to continue supporting Radio Islam International in our efforts to broadcast cutting edge programs that have and continue to leave an indelible mark on the community, the country and world at large.

Winners are expected to be announced on 14 April 2019
