Relief for Motorists as Petrol Price to Decrease Next Week

Motorists can breathe a sigh of relief after the Energy Department announced the price of petrol will decrease by 95 and 96 cents per litre from Wednesday.

The prices of different grades of diesel go down by 74 cents (for 0.05% sulphur) and 75 cents (0.005% sulphur) per litre while illuminating paraffin will decrease by 57 cents per litre.

The price of LP gas also decreases by  R 1.33 per kg.

The Energy department says the main reasons for the fuel price adjustments are due to the lower Brent Crude oil prices during the period under review.

South Africa’s fuel prices are adjusted on a monthly basis, informed by international and local factors.
