When the enemies mocked and ridiculed the miraj travel by night,
As Sideeq stood firm with His Beloved, his loyalty shining bright!

He gave his body to be beaten, until he was unconscious on the floor,
So that The Nabi* could be protected from being beaten more!
When eventually his eyes did open, treatment for himself he rejected,
Until his eyes fell upon The Nabi, making sure he was protected!

When the call was made to strengthen The Deen with finance,
He gave his entire wealth without even giving a second glance!

To allow them to practise deen easily, he bought and freed slave upon slave,
And He was the one chosen to serve the Master for three days in the cave!

Totally indebted we are to him, who till today remains faithfully at the Nabi’s side,
Abu Bakr As Sideeq**, our hero, our leader, our divinely and rightly guided guide!
