Saudia’s Resumption of International Flights Excludes 20 Countries Including South Africa

Saudi Arabian Airlines  has announced that it will not resume flight services to 20 countries with which flights were banned last February.

Saudia earlier announced that it will resume international flight services from 17 May but will not apply to the countries with which travel is banned by  the government.

The Saudi Arabian Interior Ministry announced the suspension of entry of expatriates from 20 countries into the Kingdom as part of measures to combat coronavirus in February.

The move exempts Saudi citizens, as well as foreign diplomats, health practitioners, and their families

The countries facing the ban are South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, United States, the UK,  Indonesia, India, Pakistan and Portugal, among others.

The decision includes those coming from other countries if they had passed through any of these 20 countries during the 14 days preceding their application to enter the Kingdom.
