The head of the Presidency for the Affairs of Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais has announced the resumption of the distribution of Zam Zam water from King Abdullah Project in Kudai in Makkah from Tuesday.

Sheikh Al-Sudais says the National Water Company will start receiving visitors and those who want to buy Zam Zam water to meet the growing demand ahead of the blessed month of Ramadan.

The Supervisory Committee has completed all precautionary measures and preventive protocols to ensure the safety of the visitors from coronavirus.

Only 60 people would be allowed  to enter the customer care center of the project to buy the Zam Zam water.

The price of five-litre bottle is SR5.5 (R 21.70)  while each person will only be allowed to buy four bottles after every 15 days.

The late King Abdullah inaugurated the automated project, built at a cost of SR700 million, in September 2010 and  includes 42 distribution points at its headquarters in Kudai.

The Zamzam Well is located within the Haram in Makkah, 21 meters east of the Holy Ka’ba and its opening is 1.56 meter below mataf.
