Shoprite in Lenasia Closed After Reported Case of COVID-19 Infection

Shoprite supermarket at the Lenasia Signet Terrace has closed due to an alleged COVID-19 case.

A notice on the door on Wednesday states the store will be closed until further notice by order of management.

Recently, a number of businesses and schools in Lenasia and Lenasia South have closed after reported cases of Coronavirus infections.

Lenasia including Orange Farm, Weilers Farm, Ennerdale, Eldorado Park and Protea South which are listed under Region G in the City of Johannesburg have recorded 972 cases of COVID-19.

Nationally, South Africa has recorded 106,108 infections while  2,102 people have succumbed to the virus.

Gauteng has a total of 24,041 COVID-19 infections
