Trade Route Mall in Lenasia to be Temporarily Closed Due to Looting & Unrest

The Trade Route Mall in Lenasia has announced that the shopping centre will be temporarily closed due to the ongoing violent protests, looting of shops and burning of shopping centres  taking place in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal.

In a statement, the Trade Route Mall’s Lindi Dlamini says management is monitoring the current situation and will reopen the mall when it is safe to do so.

“We have witnessed some of the worst damage incurred by other shopping centres near the mall and around he country and therefore deemed it fit to close the mall to protect tenants, employees and customers.”

SP Security’s Shiraz Pelwan told Radio Islam  that Lenasia was relatively calm on Tuesday and Wednesday with just a few minor incidents. reported.
