Widespread Power Outages in Lenasia

There are widespread electricity outages in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.

It’s not clear what has caused the area to be left with out power today.

Extensions in Lenasia affected by the power loss include 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 11 & 13.

Local ward councillor Kishore Badal told Radio Islam, City Power has indicated that a team has been dispatched to determine the fault causing the outage.

No estimated time of restoration has been provided.

With many Muslim residents of Lenasia observing fast during the month of Ramadan which began yesterday, they are hoping that electricity is restored as soon as possible.
