An opportunity to honour and celebrate the quiet heroes who guide, uplift, and inspire others through their Islamic knowledge, character, and service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Nominate:<\/strong><br \/>\nSubmit a written motivation (approx. 500\u2013600 words) sharing how the Aalimah you\u2019re nominating has:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Positively impacted her community<\/li>\n<li>Shown dedication in teaching, da\u2019wah, or community work<\/li>\n<li>Uplifted others spiritually or socially<\/li>\n<li>Displayed outstanding character and leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Email your submission to: idaya@radioislam.co.za<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> 10<sup>th<\/sup> October 2025<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s honour the women who\u2019ve committed their lives to knowledge and service, and give them the appreciation they deserve, Insha Allah.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Terms &amp; Conditions<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Terms &amp; Conditions \u2013 Aalimah of the Year Award<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Written submissions only<\/strong> will be accepted (500\u2013600 words).<\/li>\n<li>The nominee must be a qualified <strong><strong>Aalimah from a reputable institution<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The nomination should include <strong>clear examples<\/strong> of the Aalimah\u2019s community impact, spiritual guidance, and dedication to Islamic teaching or humanitarian work.<\/li>\n<li>Nominees must be female Islamic scholars (Aalimahs) currently serving or active within their local communities (for a minimum of 5 years).<\/li>\n<li>Nominees must be <strong>based in South Africa<\/strong> (unless otherwise specified).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Aalimahs involved in <strong>public, community, madrassah, counselling, outreach or teaching work<\/strong> may be nominated.<\/li>\n<li>At least two referrals should be included in the submission<\/li>\n<li>Judges will assess entries based on:\n<ul>\n<li>Impact<\/li>\n<li>Dedication<\/li>\n<li>Community feedback (as reflected in the submission)<\/li>\n<li>Consistency of service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Final decision lies with the <strong>panel of judges<\/strong> appointed by Radio Islam.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>most compelling and impactful submission<\/strong> will determine the winner; this is not a popularity-based competition.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>winner will be announced on air and online<\/strong>, Insha Allah.<\/li>\n<li>Radio Islam reserves the right to verify information or request clarity if needed.<\/li>\n<li>By submitting a nomination, you consent to Radio Islam sharing selected details of the entry (with discretion and permission) for on-air or online purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Tribute Submission Criteria: Aalimah Tribute Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Eligibility<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to all Radio Islam International listeners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong> Tribute Content Requirements<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Each submission should reflect sincere admiration and meaningful impact, and must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biographical Overview\u2022 Full name, community location, years of service, and institutional affiliations.<\/li>\n<li>Impact Statement\u2022 Personal reflections or experiences shaped by the nominee\u2019s contributions.<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of her role in Islamic education, dawah, counselling, or community upliftment.<\/li>\n<li>Any programs, initiatives, or publications she led or contributed to.<\/li>\n<li>Spiritual Resonance\u2022 How her life and teachings mirror Qur\u2019anic principles and Prophetic ethics.<\/li>\n<li>Her efforts in preserving Islamic traditions and mentoring future generations.<\/li>\n<li>Closing Message\u2022 A heartfelt dua or concise note of honour from the submitter.<\/li>\n<li>Optional: Accompanying audio or video message (Work and Projects).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong> Format &amp; Language Guidelines<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Written Tributes: 500\u2013600 words.<\/li>\n<li>Accepted Languages: English, Urdu, Arabic, Zulu (submissions in other languages should include English translation).<\/li>\n<li>Visuals: Photos or media clips of work and projects permitted with documented consent from the Aalimah or her family (optional).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Evaluation Criteria<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Submissions will be assessed based on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Category<\/li>\n<li>Description<\/li>\n<li>Authenticity<\/li>\n<li>Emotional sincerity and originality of the narrative<\/li>\n<li>Clarity &amp; Structure<\/li>\n<li>Logical, well-organized content that is easy to follow<\/li>\n<li>Cultural Sensitivity<\/li>\n<li>Respectful alignment with Islamic ethics and community values<\/li>\n<li>Inspirational Value<\/li>\n<li>Ability to elevate the legacy of Aalimahs and inspire broader audiences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong> Submission Process &amp;
