It is with immense love, respect, and admiration that I nominate my dearest friend and sister, Aalimah Rooksana for the Aalimah of the Year Award.<\/p>\n
Rookshana embodies what it means to be a woman of knowledge, compassion, and service. From the moment she embraced the responsibility of being an Aalimah, she has carried it with humility, sincerity, and dedication to uplifting her community. She is not just a teacher of deen – she is a living example of it.<\/p>\n
Her classes are more than lessons; they are gatherings of light, where young and old alike are drawn to her warmth and wisdom. She teaches with patience, breaking down complex concepts into simple gems that touch hearts and transform lives. Beyond the classroom, Rookshana is the one people turn to for guidance, comfort, and du\u2019a. Whether it is a struggling mother, a youth facing identity challenges, or a widow in need of support, she is there with open arms and a listening ear.<\/p>\n
What sets Rookshana apart is her deep empathy. She sees the needs of her community and responds without waiting to be asked. She has organized food drives, spearheaded women\u2019s empowerment circles, and personally mentored countless young girls to walk confidently with their faith. Her passion extends to building bridges between generations – ensuring that deen remains relevant, practical, and beautiful for today\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n
Despite her many responsibilities, Rookshana never seeks recognition. Her sincerity shines through in her humility. She often says, “It\u2019s not about me, it\u2019s about the amanah Allah has entrusted me with.\u201d And truly, she carries that amanah with excellence.<\/p>\n
To me, she is not only a sister but a pillar of strength and inspiration. I have witnessed firsthand the countless hours she sacrifices, the quiet tears she sheds in du\u2019a for her students, and the joy she finds in serving others. Her impact is immeasurable – rippling through families, neighbourhoods, and hearts, reminding us of the beauty of Islam.<\/p>\n
I firmly believe that Rookshana is deserving of the Aalimah of the Year Award\u00a0 \u00a0not because she seeks recognition, but because she has already earned it in the hearts of the people she has touched. Honouring her will honour every woman who quietly uplifts her community, who serves without spotlight, and who inspires us all to do better.<\/p>\n
May Allah accept her efforts, place barakah in her work, and allow her to continue being a beacon of light for her community and beyond.<\/p>\n
