{"id":102860,"date":"2025-12-17T09:20:31","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T07:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/?p=102860"},"modified":"2025-12-17T09:20:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T07:20:31","slug":"safeeras-mom-kebab-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/safeeras-mom-kebab-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"Safeeras Mom Kebab Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1kg chicken mince<br \/>\n1 \u00bd tsp salt<br \/>\n1 onion chopped and saut\u00e9ed in ghee<br \/>\n1tbl freshly ground black pepper or lemon pepper<br \/>\n1tsp jeeroo powder (freshly roasted and slightly ground)<br \/>\n1\/2tsp white pepper<br \/>\n1tbl desiccated\u00a0 coconut<br \/>\n1 tbl coconut flakes toasted and crushed<br \/>\n2tbl almond powder<br \/>\nGaram masala to taste<br \/>\n1 tsp sesame seeds<br \/>\nPinch of saffron<br \/>\n1tsp khus khus (white poppy seeds)<br \/>\n2 \/3tbl ghee<br \/>\n1 large egg<br \/>\n2 slices of bread soaked in milk<br \/>\nChopped coriander<br \/>\nChopped mint<br \/>\nChopped spring onions<\/p>\n<p>Marinate the mince in the above ingredients to mix easily just add all ingredients into your food processor.<br \/>\nAllow flavours to mingle for a few hours<br \/>\nWarm ghee to soften add a drop or 2 of vinegar to your ghee, coat your hands.<br \/>\nForm the mince into oblong or round kebabs<br \/>\nSteam in the oven until the kebabs turn white.<br \/>\nYou can freeze them at this point.<\/p>\n<p>Serving suggestions<br \/>\n1 Deep fry on hot oil<br \/>\n2 warm garlic butter in a pot and baste the kebabs until browned, serve with lemon wedges<br \/>\n3. BBQ kebabs serve with lemon butter dipping sauce and green chutney<br \/>\n4 Grill kebabs in oven until browned, carefully transfer to a flat pot.
