Strikes on Kuwait\u2019s International Airport have caused significant damage to the structure, with one fatality and over 60 injuries reported.<\/p>\n

Originally aimed at Al-Salam airbase, the missile hit the nearby airport\u2019s passenger terminal instead. Media biases are skewed towards the attack being \u201cretaliatory,\u201d referring to it as Iran\u2019s retaliatory responses to protect them from Saudi Arabia. Despite Iran denying responsibility for the strike, concerns are rising amongst Iranians that the US cannot be left with impunity as it has been since the ceasefire.<\/p>\n

While every country does want a ceasefire, the bigger threat to the this is the Trump administration\u2019s dual mindedness when it comes to agreements that may lead to the collapse of the ceasefire. The fact that the two parties are still speaking to each other \u201cdoes bode well for at least the continuation status quo,\u201d says Deen. Of course, compounding the problem of \u201cgood faith negotiations\u201d and the conclusion of an agreement is Trump\u2019s state of mind and US politics.<\/p>\n
