It is usually a black, purplish red or blue mark on the skin, which is caused because of an injury, which crushes the small blood vessels, leaking blood into the adjacent tissues, beneath the surface of the skin. The effect of bruises depends on the skin\u2019s sensitivity. Though, it normally heals in 12 days or so, but you can get rid of these hideous marks early by applying home remedies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0Ice Pack<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Apply ice pack on the bruised area. This will numb the whole area and you won\u2019t feel pain for several minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Tea Bags<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Take sage tea bags or chamomile tea bags. Soak them in warm water and then, place on the bruise. This will soothe the pain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Aloe Vera<\/strong><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Take aloe vera leaf and apply its gel on the bruised skin. This will provide relief in pain and swelling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Egg Rolling<\/strong><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Boil an egg and peel off the skin of this boiled egg. Place it on the bruised area and gently roll the warm egg on bruise. This will help in reducing the swelling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Vinegar mixed with warm water will help the healing process. Vinegar increases blood flow near the skin\u2019s surface, so it may help dissipate the blood that has pooled in the bruise area. Witch hazel will also do the trick.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Apply some turmeric powder to the area, and tie a bandage if needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Make an ointment to relieve pain and swelling. Here is the recipe: Mix some turmeric powder, pieces of onion and hot mustard oil into an ointment. Apply the mixture to the affected area, covering with a cloth, and tie a bandage. Change it once a day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Take 1-2 teaspoons of turmeric powder with a glass of hot milk. It will relieve pain and remove stagnant blood<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Natural home remedy using garlic, onion, turmeric powder and mustard oil:<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1. Crush 3-4 garlic cloves to a paste<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">2. Take 3 tsp of this paste<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">3. Add 3 tsp of chopped onion<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">4. Add 3 tsp turmeric powder<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">5. Add 2-3 tbsp of mustard oil<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">6. Mix well<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">7. Apply on the affected area<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Cabbage<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Cabbage can help in healing the bruise, as well as reducing the swelling. Apply macerated leaves of cabbage to accelerate the healing process<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Cayenne Pepper &amp; Vaseline<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Take 1 part of cayenne pepper and 5 parts of melted Vaseline.
