Then carefully add water,butter and salt,allow to boil slowly and leave aside. Meanwhile mix flour,baking powder,salt and sugar,rub in the butter, then add the nuts and enough milk to make soft dough. Drop spoonfuls into the syrup as for dumpling and allow to simmer. When done allow to cool and serve with cream.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Malva pudding<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup flour<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup sugar<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp b.powder<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp bicarb.of soda <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp vinegar<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp vanilla<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tblp apricot jam<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 egg<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup milk<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Pinch salt<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Syrup:<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1\/4 lb butter<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">3\/4 cup suger<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup milk<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1\/2 cup water<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp vanilla<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Method:<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1.Beat ingredients for pudding together.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">2.Bake at 180 degrees for approx.40 minutes.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">3.Boil syrup ingredients together.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">4.Use fork to poke holes in pudding.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">5.Pour syrup over pudding while still hot.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">6.Serve with nestle cream.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Date pudding:<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup boiling water<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup chopped dates<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1\/2 cup flour<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Pinch of salt<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tablespoon butter<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 teaspoon vanilla essence<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup chopped nuts<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 egg<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup sugar<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tin Nestle cream (155g)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Mix water and dates and leave to cool.sift flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt, rub in butter, add vanilla essence and chopped nuts. Beat the egg and sugar until thick and lemon coloured, add dates and water mixture and fold in the flour mixture. Mix well together. Pour mixture into a greased pan and bake in a moderate oven until cooked through.
