This morning, Radio Islam\u2019s Mufti Yusuf Moosagie spoke to Dolkin Issa\u00a0,\u00a0Secretary General<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0of World\u00a0<\/strong>Uyghur Congress \u00a0discussing \u00a0reports of China\u2019s barbaric clampdown on Religious Rights .<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n He discussed the history of the Uighur (Pronounced \u201cWee Ger\u201d ) \u00a0struggle:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Occupied in 1949 , 60 years of testing times began for the Uighur.<\/p>\n HUMAN , ECONOMIC, SOCIAL RELIGIOUS RIGHTS VIOLATED<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Official results have us at 10.6 MILLION BUT THE REALITY IS CLOSER TO 20-25 MILLION<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n He spoke about the lack of identifying with China and their way of life being a catalyst for conflict.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cOUR LANGUAGE IS THE TURKISH LANGUAGE, NO RELIGIOUS OR HISTORIC LINKS WITH CHINA AT ALL\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Whilst Ramadhan has begun amidst excitement across the muslim world, he spoke about the contrasting emotions felt by the Uighur at this time.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWhile All the muslim world are happy to begin fasting , unfortunately, uighurs are not. Mostly Uighurs and China Muslims affected<\/i><\/b>\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n But forcing people NOT to fast is nothing new in terms of recent clampdowns to enforce submission \u00a0to the Communist State.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cLast March China, Uighur Imams were forced to Dance, yes, Imams forced to Dance, have you ever seen such a thing anywhere in the world?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n Also, the message forced down the Kids is that All the food and drinks are given by the Communist , not By God.\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/b>( NauthooBillah )<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n He spoke of the heavy handedness of punishments meted out to Muslims in China.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cOne Man received 6 years imprisonment for refusing to shave his beard.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Freedom of Religion is one of the most basic human rights, and the Uighurs are denied any.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe Uighur situation is going to get worse before it gets better unless something is done.
