In Kashmir, Indian Army atrocities continue : Parvez<\/p>\n

This Morning Radio Islam\u2019s Mufti Moosagie spoke to\u00a0Khurram Parvez<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>Kashmiri human rights activist with\u00a0Jammu and Kashmir Coalition for Civil Society (JKCSS),<\/p>\n Live from Kashmir on the situation faced by Kashmiri\u2019s.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n On how \u201cjustice\u201d is being enforced:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a shameful resolution\u2026India thinks its execution of justice is working well\u2026 on the contrary, denial of justice is overwhelming in Kashmir\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n In not one case has the armed forces been taken to task for violations, mass graves, missing persons, torture , all part of the daily life in Kashmir\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n He spoke about the missing persons saga, where \u201cwidows\u201d are left without closure on whether their husbands are arrested or have died:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cMissing persons saga is ongoing, the crying continues until these people return. They aren\u2019t as many kidnappings happening right now, but those gone are not returning<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Commission of enquiry would help the families to know whereabouts of their\u00a0 family members. Indian army says that missing people have gone to Pakistan for armed training.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n But we know for sure this is not true as they were abducted from their homes and disappeared since.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0On pressure from Human Rights watchdogs on India for the \u00a0Human Rights abuses:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe Indian government has always been in denial, they don\u2019t \u00a0to want to accept findings by Amnesty International and other fact finding reports.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n On International community and world powers turning a Blind eye:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe world has lost its humanity.Who in the international community is putting pressure on India?\u00a0 ON the so called \u201cemergency Law\u201d and whether it will be removed:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cEmergency law was passed in Parliament but the indian army says it cannot be moved without death<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n If the army calls the shots, they are the ones dictating the policy in Kashmir\u2026The army is ruling Jammu Kashmir.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n On whether hope is fading for independence:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIn Kashmir, a lot of young people are fed up, but whether those who are who are part of resistant movements or not, we all united that \u00a0it does not matter when independence will come, but it WILL come and we don\u2019t want to give up\u2026We are hopeful we will succeed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Allah will ask us what we did to fight FOR OUR INDEPENDENCE FROM THIS OPPRESSION.
