Rahimullah Yusufzai spoke to Sulaimaan Ravat on Radio Islam this morning on the alleged passing of Taliban Leader \u201cAmeerul Mu\u2019mineen\u201d Mullah Muhammad Omar:<\/p>\n

\u201cThese reports are more credible, the Taliban voices of denial are far softer than in previous. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Afghan government says he is dead,Pakistan Government not saying anything yet.<\/b><\/p>\n

Taliban were able to keep it secret up until now.<\/b><\/p>\n

Morale of Taliban fighters have been high so it was important to keep it secret.
Yesterday Taliban Captured 8th<\/sup>\u00a0district they have captured in the last 2 months.<\/b><\/p>\n

Whatever happens now, whether they have a leader that will be acceptable to all, whether Mullah Umar death will be a factor in Morale, they will continue fighting occupation.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Growing strength of Taliban:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTaliban are significant as a force. They have some political support but as a fighting force they have only grown stronger.<\/b><\/p>\n

US forces have negotiated with Taliban, there were soldier swops and even high level Taliban leadership were released from Guantanamo in exchange for US soldiers.<\/b><\/p>\n

First US called them \u201cTerrorists\u201d whom they don\u2019t negotiated with, now they are negotiating with them which only proves how strong they are now.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

On a Post Mullah Omar Taliban:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTaliban will remain a force to be reckoned with.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

On reports that ISIL is trying to garner a following in Afghanistan:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cISIL is not a major player, I don\u2019t think many people here are inspired by ISIL and Baghdadi.
An Insignificant player, doesn\u2019t have a bright future in this region.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n
