{"id":18143,"date":"2016-07-04T07:26:51","date_gmt":"2016-07-04T05:26:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2016\/07\/04\/ummah-in-crisis-china-documentary\/"},"modified":"2016-07-04T07:26:51","modified_gmt":"2016-07-04T05:26:51","slug":"ummah-in-crisis-china-documentary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/ummah-in-crisis-china-documentary\/","title":{"rendered":"Ummah In Crisis &#8211; The Plight Of Our Chinese Muslim Brothers and Sisters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>By Mohamed Ameen Dabhelia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">China\u2019s massive 1.3 billion population is home to 10 million Uighurs; China\u2019s biggest ethnic Muslim minority.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However in recent years they have been subject to persecution by the Communist government in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Uighurs predominantly live in China\u2019s largest administrative division known as Xinjiang, they make up approximately 43.3% of the population in the administrative division.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over recent years they have been subject to discriminatory laws with accusations ranging from \u201cextremism\u201d to \u201cseparatism\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, legislation passed in the region has been accused of targeting Muslims as the month of Rama\u1e0dan is banned, as well as other forms of persecution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this report I highlight the history of Chinese Muslims and how we need to stand up and be proactive in raising awareness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are millions of Muslims subjected to persecution on a regular basis and we do not even know of their situation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By All\u0101h it is sad to hear Muslims saying that we can only make Dua as though it is something of small value when in reality it is our greatest asset and we should utilise it as much as we can &#8211; as the Prophet Mu\u1e25ammad (SAW) said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Nothing is more honourable to All\u0101h the Most High than dua.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">May All\u0101h end the suffering of the Ummah of Mu\u1e25ammad (sall All\u0101hu \u02bfalayhi wa sallam) and bring peace to the oppressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ameen<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Listen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><audio src=\"http:\/\/podcast.radioislam.org.za\/files\/RICHINA2016.mp3\" controls=\"controls\"><\/audio><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a title=\"Ummah in Crisis \" href=\"http:\/\/podcast.radioislam.org.za\/files\/RICHINA2016.mp3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener noreferrer\">DOWNLOAD<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Mohamed Ameen Dabhelia China\u2019s massive 1.3 billion population is home to 10 million Uighurs; China\u2019s biggest ethnic Muslim minority.
