{"id":18927,"date":"2016-10-20T06:07:39","date_gmt":"2016-10-20T04:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2016\/10\/20\/a-selection-of-light-easy-meals-20-10-16\/"},"modified":"2016-10-20T06:07:39","modified_gmt":"2016-10-20T04:07:39","slug":"a-selection-of-light-easy-meals-20-10-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/a-selection-of-light-easy-meals-20-10-16\/","title":{"rendered":"A selection of light easy meals (20.10.16)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>COTTAGE PIE:<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1\/2 kg mince (chicken.beef or lamb)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 Onion chopped fine, <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1-2 tsp red masala, <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 teaspoon dhana powder, little whole Jeero, <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Fry onion in oil till soft then add in mince with little water and put 1\/2 tsp salt and 1\/4 tsp arad and cook till done. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Then add masala and dry spices and cook for 10 minutes.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Set aside to cool and once cool add tomato sauce n mustard sauce (must be saucy but not runny) and layer at bottom of casserole dish.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Cube 2 potatoes and boil till soft and mash, add little butter, mayonnaise and milk, salt n pepper to taste and mix till smooth. Boil spaghetti and season.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"> Make white sauce with 1 Tblspn butter, 1 Tblspn flour and milk not so thick.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Mix in Spaghetti.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Now put spaghetti on top of mince and last mash. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Sprinkle cheese and slice tomato (if desired) n black pepper n herbs.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Cover with foil and bake for 30min without drying it out<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 . Just before you serve remove foil and leave in oven until cheese is melted<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">MOHIDEENS MIX GRILL<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1Kg Tenderrised steak pieces<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2 Tsp Red chutney<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1\/4 Tsp arad<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4 grated medium size tomatoes<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 Tsp B.B.Q. spice<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 Tsp steak &amp; chops spice<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup yoghurt<br \/><\/span><br \/><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Method:<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Leave above to marinate for few hours. Than cook on medium to low heat for approximately 30-40min.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">When nearly done add:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4 TBL Spoons tomato sauce<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4 TBL Spoons worstesauce<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 small packet tomato paste<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Cook till nice, tender and lots of gravy. (Add little water if gravy is too thick)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">In a separate pot cook 1Kg Chilli Sausages with little water.Thereafter fry 10-15pieces of garlic polony.Cut 6-8 potatoes a bit thick for chips. Than fry.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Lay-Out:<\/strong> <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1. Take a big tray, lay the chips.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2. Than lay cooked sausages &amp; polony over. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3.
