Pieces of deboned meat can also be used instead of the minced meat. Enjoy as a snack \/ savoury with a dip.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">500g lean minced meat (lamb or beef)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 large egg<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp salt<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 \u2013 1\u00bd tsp black pepper<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2 green chillies, chopped<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 bunch of fresh mint, chopped (approx. 20g)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Oil for frying <br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Mix all the above ingredients together. Refrigerate for an hour. Form into little balls. Dip the balls into the batter, recipe below. Heat enough oil in a pan to semi deep frying. Fry the balls dipped in the batter over medium heat to ensure the meat cook through thoroughly. About 10 minutes turning now and then so that the whole kremanatjie is baked through and it has a golden colour on all sides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">For the batter:<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2 large eggs<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup milk<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Salt and pepper to taste<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 to 1\u00bd cups self-raising lour to make the batter<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Whisk the eggs and milk with the salt and pepper.
