Sprinkle the bottom of the pot with a layer of salt.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2. Add warm water to saturate the salt.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3. Let it rest for 20 minutes or until you remember it.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4. Scrape the bottom of the pan with a spoon, scrubby, spatula\u2013whatever is scrapy but won\u2019t damage your pot.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">5. Rinse out the pot.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">6. If it\u2019s clean. You\u2019re finished. Have a cookie.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">7. If it\u2019s not clean, put a couple inches of water and several drops of dish soap in the bottom of the pan.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">8. Heat it to boiling on the stove and then simmer on low heat for about an hour. This reeks to high heaven in my opinion (maybe not quite that high), so open the windows and pass out the barf bags.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Removing Cooking Oil Stains from Clothes<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Tip 1:<\/strong> original dishwashing liquid will remove some grease or cooking oil stains even after they&#8217;ve been through the dryer. <br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Tip 2:<\/strong> Use hair shampoo to get cooking oil or grease stains out.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Tip 3:<\/strong> The key to getting out oily and greasy stains is to wash clothing with the hottest water that is safe for the fabric. <\/p>\n<p>1. Remove as much excess oil as possible with a dull knife or spoon. <br \/>2. Apply 3-5 minutes to allow it to go completely through the fabric. <br \/>3. Use liquid detergent to rub through the stained fabric. <br \/>4. Allow the garment to sit for a few minutes. <br \/>5. Wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Check tags to determine what water temperature to use for washing. <br \/>6. Repeat steps 3-5 for fresh stains.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Blender:<\/strong> Cleaning your blender is much easier if you fill it about a third of the way with hot water, add a couple of drops of your dishwasher detergent, and then turn it on!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Drains of your sink:<\/strong> To clean, put 1 tablespoon of baking soda down the sink followed by 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and let stand for 15 minutes, then flush with hot water<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Oven:<\/strong> Reduce the unpleasant smell left from oven cleaners by baking some citrus peelings on low heat.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Oven cleaning:<\/strong> To reduce the need, line the bottom of your oven with foil cut to size. The foil catches drips and grease and can be easily replaced when dirty.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Washing clothes:<\/strong> Hang clothes as soon as you can after washing to reduce creasing.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Coffee Grinder:<\/strong> Grind up a cup or so of rice in a coffee grinder to clean the grinder and sharpen its blades<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Fish or Spoiled Food Odor:<\/strong> Place a bowl of white vinegar on the counter for a few hours. The odor will disappear for good.<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Stains in Plastic Storage Containers:<\/strong> Use a baking soda paste (baking soda and water) and rub into the stain. You can then rinse with vinegar (optional) and wash normally. Another method is to place container outside on a nice sunny day and the sun actually bleaches the stain out. To avoid stains in the first place, spray container with cooking spray before putting things in it that stain<br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">If you have stains on clothes from medicated creams rub stain firmly with a baby wipe. Then pre-treat and wash as usual. <br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Empty ketchup of mustard containers is great for decorating cakes or cookies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">To unclog plugged the drain, try using a cup of salt mixed with a cup of baking soda \u2013 no liquid.
