{"id":22604,"date":"2018-04-18T14:03:51","date_gmt":"2018-04-18T12:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.radioislam.org.za\/wordpress\/2018\/04\/18\/fnb-unveils-ewallet-extra-mobile-bank-account\/"},"modified":"2018-04-18T14:03:51","modified_gmt":"2018-04-18T12:03:51","slug":"fnb-unveils-ewallet-extra-mobile-bank-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioislam.org.za\/a\/fnb-unveils-ewallet-extra-mobile-bank-account\/","title":{"rendered":"FNB Unveils eWallet eXtra Mobile Bank Account"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News &#8211; 18-04-2018<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First National Bank (FNB) has launched a new service that will allow unbanked and underbanked South African consumers to use a smartphone to open a bank account without walking into a branch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">eWallet eXtra, a new mobile bank account will have no monthly fees and consumers don\u2019t have to submit any paperwork, requiring only their name, surname and ID number on a mobile device to use the application.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Head of Transaction Products Gugu Zikhali says the new feature by FNB is a simple, accessible and cost effective solution for anyone above the age of 16 who owns a smartphone to get a mobile bank account with a unique account number in less than three minutes,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201ceWallet eXtra will enable users to send or receive deposits from individuals and other banks, store funds for an unlimited period,\u00a0 pay accounts and also buy prepaid products like airtime, data and electricity.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Users can also on send to other recipients and withdraw at any FNB ATM or at tills across participating *SPAR stores, which also allow for over the counter purchases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The daily spend limit is R3 000 and R24 000 per month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>eWallet eXtra users will be able to view their bank account balance and transaction history.
