Then add flour mixture. Fold in very quickly. Then add hot milk mixture. Give a quick mix.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Pour into 2 baking pans.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Bake in moderate oven.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Used the above sponge cake recipe<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">For caramel sauce<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1\/2 cup boiling milk<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tin caramel treat<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Combine together till smooth<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Dip cooled cakes and cover in coconut<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>BOUNTY CAKES<\/strong><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">125g butter <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00bd cup castor sugar <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3 egg yolks<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp vanilla essence <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cup flour<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 n half tsp baking powder <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2 Tblsp cocoa<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3\/4 cup milk <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Filling <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3 egg whites <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Half cup icing sugar <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 n quarter cup coconut <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Add sifted dry ing and milk. For the filling beat egg whites until stiff. Fold in coconut and icing sugar. Pour half batter into greased pan. Add filling and top with remaining batter. Bake at 180 until done. Decorate as desired.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>CARROT AND PECAN NUT CAKE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 1\/2 cup castor sugar<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2 cups oil<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4 eggs <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tsp vanilla essence<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3 cups flour<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4 cups grated carrot<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2 Tblsp lemon juice<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3\/4 cup pecan nuts- chopped<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4 tsp cinnamon powder<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">3\/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">5 tsp baking powder<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Pinch of salt<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Grate carrots and sprinkle lemon juice over and set aside.\u00a0Chop pecan nuts and set aside.\u00a0Beat oil, castor sugar, eggs and vanilla essence till fluffy.\u00a0Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.\u00a0Pour into well greased pan or paper cups for cup cakes.\u00a0Bake in a preheated oven @180\u00b0C for 15-20 mins for cupcakes and 30-40 mins for larger cake.\u00a0When done prick all over with a fork.\u00a0Pour sauce while cake is hot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>SAUCE<\/strong>:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">8 Tblsp sugar<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">9 Tblsp milk<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">4 Tblsp butter<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Boil on stove and then pour over cake.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">250mls fresh cream<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 tub cream cheese<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">1 cups icing sugar<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Vanilla essence<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Beat fresh cream stiff then mix in icing and vanilla.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Beat cream cheese just to make smooth and add in icing sugar and vanilla essence.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Fold fresh cream into the cream cheese. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Decorate cake as desired.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">(Extra frosting can always be kept in the freezer until needed.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COURTESY KHATIJA EBRAHIM SPONGE CAKE:Beat until light &amp; fluffy:&#8211; 1 cup sugar&#8211; 4 eggsThen add:1 tsp vanilla essenceSift &#8211; 1 cup flour1 Tbspn maizenaMake very hot1\/2 cup cup milk 60g butter As soon as egg mixture is ready add vanilla.
