Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 17-10-2018<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has unveiled three new smartphones in the Mate 20 Series, the Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X with the largest in the line-up with its 7.2-inch OLED display and a massive 5,000mAh battery.<\/p>\n The HUAWEI Mate 20 Series is powered by the company\u2019s latest Kirin 980 7nm processor, 128GB of onboard storage and 6GB of RAM. It also supports the world\u2019s fastest Wi-Fi connection speeds–2GB footage requires only 10 seconds to download. The top-end flagship also supports dual-band (L1+L5) GPS positioning technology. The AI GPS Satellite Selection technology enhances the positioning accuracy across a wide range of scenarios.<\/p>\n The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a 40MP main camera, a 20MP ultra wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. Together, the trio of lenses supports a wide range of focal lengths (equivalent to the performance of a 16-270mm zoom lens), enabling it to mimic the results from professional cameras.<\/p>\n The Mate 20 Pro is also the only device out of the three flagships with a working in-screen fingerprint sensor, which is used in addition to 3D facial recognition to secure the device.<\/p>\n Other features include support for Huawei\u2019s new NM card format which are 45% smaller than SD cards. The new phones are also water resistant, and can be fully submerged up to half an hour at a depth of 2m.<\/p>\n CEO of Huawei Consumer BG Richard Yu smartphones are an important entrance to the digital world.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Huawei Mate 20 Series is designed to be the best \u2018mate\u2019 of consumers, accompanying and empowering them to enjoy a richer, more fulfilled life with their higher intelligence, unparalleled battery lives and powerful camera performance.\u201d<\/p>\n Huawei has announced the Mate 20 Pro will be launched in South Africa on 23 October.<\/p>\n The company also launched two new wearables, the watch GT and Band 3 Pro. The new devices offer features for users to track their activities and receive fitness coaching based on scientific research.<\/p>\n Huawei also announced the official launch of EMUI 9.0, the custom Android P-based operating system (OS).<\/p>\n Available to Huawei and Honor devices, EMUI 9.0 goes out of beta with the launch of the Huawei Mate 20 Series with new features for all supported devices.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n
The devices are the world\u2019s first smartphone to support the 4.5G LTE Cat. 21 standard, allowing consumers to experience download speeds of up to 1.4Gbps.<\/p>\n
