Apple says it\u2019s fixing a flaw in its FaceTime software that\u2019s allowed for brief eavesdropping even when you haven\u2019t picked up.<\/p>\n
The tech giant has temporarily disabled its Group FaceTime feature in iOS and macOS to fix the major security flaw.<\/p>\n
The problem reportedly occurs when both users are running version 12.1 of Apple\u2019s mobile operating system or newer.<\/p>\n
The technique involves using the software’s group chat function, apparently confusing the software into activating the target’s microphone, even if the call had not been accepted.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s understood the eves dropping ends when the call is cut after too many rings.<\/p>\n
