Fitbit has announced that the Versa 2 the next generation of its best-selling smartwatch will be available at major retail stores at the end-October \/ beginning November.<\/p>\n
The latest edition to the smartwatch delivers a new precision-crafted swim proof design, includes innovative sleep features like Sleep Score and smart wake, and is packed with even advanced health, fitness and smart features to elevate every moment.<\/p>\n
Versa 2 debuts an on-device microphone, which enables voice to text (Android phones only), along with a Spotify app that allows users to control their music and podcasts, and Fitbit Pay.<\/p>\n
Coupled with even faster performance, thousands of apps and clock faces and a brighter, crisper display with an optional always-on mode Versa 2 now has 5+ days battery life.<\/p>\n
Some of the features on the Versa 2 includes Sleep Score, which allows users to receive a nightly score within the Fitbit app for better insight into their sleep quality. The score is based on heart rate (sleeping and resting), restlessness, time awake and Sleep Stages.<\/p>\n
Versa 2 comes with even more features, like Fitbit Pay, so users can make easy and secure wallet -free payments at retailers with contactless payment functionalities.<\/p>\n
Fitbit is also bringing the Spotify app experience to Versa 2, allowing Spotify Premium subscribers to control music and podcasts so you can find all-day motivation directly from your wrist.<\/p>\n
Versa 2 is also powered by a faster processor compared to Versa for better performance including a larger AMOLED display and an optional always-on display mode, which boasts a 2+ day\u2019s battery life so you can easily check the time and see your stats during a workout without lifting your wrist or pressing a button.<\/p>\n
There are also a wide variety of new accessories and bands for the Versa 2, featuring new colours, materials, and styles,
Versa 2 will retail for R3, 999 while the Versa 2 Special Edition will be available for R4, 999.<\/p>\n
Fitbit also announced Fitbit Premium, a paid subscription service in the Fitbit app. A free trial of Fitbit Premium will be available on the Versa 2 Special Edition. <\/p>\n
