Surat<\/span> An-Naml (The Ants)<\/span><\/p>\n

Surat An-Naml comes as number 27 in the order of the Holy Qur'an. It consists of 93 Aya's (Verses).<\/span><\/p>\n

Even the ants glorify and sanctify Allah. Allah has said in the<\/p>\n

Qur'an:
{And there is not a thing but glorifies Him with His praise but
you understand not their glorification.} (AI-Isra, 17:44)<\/span><\/p>\n

I received an e mail from one of our listeners sharing her homemade remedies on ants, and I’d like to also share it with u.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

IF ANTS ARE COMING IN THROUGH DOORS OR WINDOWS, put a cinnamon stick across the path. They will not cross it. USE A SYRUP MADE OUT OF CORN SYRUP, honey, white sugar and water; mix it on the stove until the sugars all melt and it's syrupy but pour able, then add a good amount of boric acid powder. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Once you mix it all together, you can apply the syrup to the spots where ants congregate and on their trails. They love the sugars and run to get it, and then the boric acid gets them. <\/span><\/p>\n

I used this remedy this year a couple of times, and it wiped out the ant colony that was under my house and trying to get in. I had a bad infestation last year, and this year I had no problem because I used this stuff at the first sign of them. <\/span><\/p>\n

It's also a good solution because you can put it exactly where you want to without having to spread it around where it's not needed. The syrup formula isn't an exact one, either — just mix it all up until it looks good to you. The ants don't care about the proportions of the ingredients — they just like the sugar.<\/span><\/p>\n

THE HOUSE:<\/span><\/p>\n

Find out where they are coming in and put a barrier of ordinary talcum powder across the entrance route — for example, on windowsills and door frames. It doesn't have to be very thick or wide, but don't leave gaps.  <\/span>I don't know why it works, but they won't cross the line. <\/span><\/p>\n

I PUT BAY LEAVES AND LISTERINE MOUTHWASH IN THE CORNERS OF MY FOOD PANTRY<\/span><\/p>\n

TO CONTROL LITTLE ANTS COMING IN AND ENTERING INTO MY FLOUR AND POWERED SUGAR.<\/span><\/p>\n

I will always use this remedy since it works wonders! Ants hate Vicks VapoRub Ointment. Dab that where you see them entering your house.  <\/span>Sprinkle baby powder, salt, or cinnamon underneath doors to keep ants out. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you see a trail of ants coming into your house from a wall or underneath a door, simply sprinkle Cinnamon at that place in the wall. Or, sprinkle a thin line of Cinnamon across the threshold of the door. Ants don't like the spice at all, so they'll retreat from invading your home. <\/span><\/p>\n

Another homemade remedy to keep ants out is to use Vicks™ VapoRub Ointment. Ants absolutely hate Vicks too! I had an army of black ants coming down the side of my bathtub, of all places. I couldn't find where they were coming in the house at, so I just placed a small glob of Vicks Ointment at the end of their trail. They scattered and I haven't seen another ant in my bathroom since. The Vicks worked better than Cinnamon in this case since the area I needed to put it on was vertical.<\/span><\/p>\n

I don't want to sprinkle Cinnamon, baby powder or put globs of Vicks on my kitchen counter, so I use another homemade remedy to keep ants out of that area of my house. I mix together either white or apple cider vinegar in tap water and pour it in a spray bottle. Then, I lightly mist my kitchen counters when I see a few ants on them. The ants never step foot on my counter again! <\/span><\/p>\n
