Arthritis: &frac12; tsp Arad and 1 &frac12; tsp lemon juice in water every morning.<\/p>\n<p>Green camphor, block of camphor, 1 grandpa powder, Mix together. Rub when required.<\/p>\n<p>8. Dandruff: rinse hair with vinegar.<\/p>\n<p>9. Bees: when going on a picnic take a can of hairspray to spray the bees.<\/p>\n<p>10. Bed-wetting: 1 tsp white till in water, read 11 x Surah Fateha.<\/p>\n<p>11. Onions: no more tears. Cut n peel onions. Leave in fridge.<\/p>\n<p>12.Vinegar: When cooking keep a bowl of vinegar nearby to eliminate kitchen odours.<\/p>\n<p>Dab milk spills with vinegar.<\/p>\n<p>When taking cheese on a journey. Dip a cloth in vinegar and wrap cheese in it.<\/p>\n<p>Back aches and pains, add a little vinegar and rough salt to water.<\/p>\n<p>13.A bowl of fresh orange peel keeps flies away.<\/p>\n<p>14.Backache: Cup milk, an egg yolk with some vanilla essence is excellent. Also known as egg flip.<\/p>\n<p>15. Window cleaner: 175ml water, 90ml white vinegar and lemon essential oil. Mix together in a spray bottle and use as required.<\/p>\n<p>16.Cuts: starl druppels &ndash; Dutch remedy.<\/p>\n<p>17.Unwanted smells: lemon juice.<\/p>\n<p>18. homemade cream\/lotion: <\/p>\n<p>1 tub plain aqueous cream, 1 tblsp olive oil, some lavender oil and antifungal tea tree oil. Mix together.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>19.Athlete&rsquo;s feet: apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>20.Freezer: rub edges with glycerin to stop ice from forming.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>21.Arthritis: 1 bottle Vicks, 1 bottle mustard oil and 1 block camphor. Mix together and rub when required.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>22.Smelly feet: lavender oil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>23.Smell of flask: drop a lump of sugar in it to get rid of smell.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>24.Toilet: cut blocks of bingo soap and put into cistern. Cleans toilets well. Good saving tip.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>25.Chilblains: 1 tbslp paraffin, 4 tblsp camphor cream and a piece of melted candle. Mix together and use when required.<\/p>\n<p>Storing in glass jars.<br \/>One listener said her all-time favourite hint is to store things in glass jars. When she buys buttermilk, she brings it home and puts it in a glass jar. It keeps for months that way. In fact any leftovers she has she keeps in a glass jar. She suggested storing onions in a glass jar leaving the root intact and they should keep for weeks. Another use is to clean and skin grapefruit and keep the sections in a glass jar. They keep for weeks and you don&#39;t have the mess each time you want some.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Food stains<br \/>Potatoes will take food stains off your fingers. Just slice it and rub the raw potato on the stains and rinse with water.<\/p>\n<p>Stains on Tupperware<\/p>\n<p>Spraying Tupperware with non-stick cooking spray before putting in a tomato-based sauce will help prevent stains to the Tupperware.<\/p>\n<p>To allow salt to pour easily, <\/p>\n<p>Put a few uncooked grains of rice in your shakers to absorb moisture.<\/p>\n<p>Crayon marks<\/p>\n<p>To wipe crayon marks off a wall, apply toothpaste and let set about 15 minutes, and wipe off with a damp cloth.<\/p>\n<p>Remove yellow food stains from tablemats, etc<\/p>\n<p>. By applying a paste of detergent and water to the stained areas and keep in the sun for an hour. Wash like your other laundry.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking rice<\/p>\n<p>Add a few drops of lemon juice and 1\/2 tsp. ghee while steaming long grain rice (basmati) to make the it whiter and keep the grain unbroken.<\/p>\n<p>For a painful scald, try this home-made remedy<br \/>Place a crushed onion on the affected part, with a bandage over it. It really works and brings relief. Another good remedy for burns and scalds is to smear the parts immediately with the white of an egg. In half an hour there will be no sign of the burn, and no soreness. Works like magic!<\/p>\n<p>Labels<br \/>If you write your own labels for kitchen or storage containers, cover the labels with transparent cello tape so that do not smudge.<\/p>\n<p>Cooking smells<br \/>While cooking onions or garlic, place an open bowl of vinegar by the stove. The smell will not pervade the house or kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>Motion sickness<br \/>A clove and a cardamom kept in the mouth while travelling, brings relief to those suffering from motion sickness.<\/p>\n<p>Savoury tips<br \/>If bhajias, fritters and&nbsp; cutlets are soaking too much oil, or are not as crisp as should be, add some hot oil to the batter. (3\/4 tbsp. to a cup of batter). Their texture will improve remarkably.<\/p>\n<p>Aching muscles and joints<br \/>Rub mustard oil on palms and soles to bring warmth to a shivering body. Also use as massage oil for aching joints and muscles.
