Esteemed Islamic scholar Ml Ebrahim Bham says there are many examples in Islamic scriptures highlighting that seeking forgiveness is the means of many aspects of goodness.<\/p>\n

Ml Bham was speaking during his Thursday social programme on Radio Islam.<\/p>\n

While many people in general are fallible and prone to committing sin and making mistakes, repenting to Almighty Allah and seeking forgiveness from those who you have wronged is the ultimate redemption and a pleasure in the eyes of the Supreme Being.<\/p>\n

Ml Bham says while this world is only a temporary abode for every one of us until we return to Allah, people should not procrastinate in seeking forgiveness and repentance from Him.<\/p>\n

\u201cNabi-e-Kareem (SAW) had said whoever asks Allah Ta\u2019ala for forgiveness, Allah will grant him a relief from every distress and a way out from every hardship. So there is reference with regard to it in the Qur\u2019an.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ml Bham says Allah has given the Ummah freedom and the capacity to do good and evil.<\/p>\n

He says Allah has given us freedom as a test.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf there was no ability to do wrong or choose the option of wrong, there would be no test, there would be no jazaa and sazaa, no recompense and punishment. The reason why there is recompense and punishment, the way there is Allah\u2019s forgiveness and Allah\u2019s punishment and there is Jannat and Jahannam is because of that freedom to be able to do right and wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ml Bham says if Allah were to \u201ccatch and seize\u201d people the moment they do wrong, there would be no one alive in this world.<\/p>\n
