It&#8217;s nourishing, smooth, creamy and just yummy.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>\u27141 butternut, peeled and cored<\/p>\n<p>\u2714Half an onion, sliced<\/p>\n<p>\u2714Water<\/p>\n<p>\u27141 vegetable stock cube or chicken stock cube<\/p>\n<p>\u2714 3 quarters of a cup Nestl\u00e9 evaporated milk<\/p>\n<p>\u2714Salt to taste<\/p>\n<p>\u27141 teaspoon brown sugar<\/p>\n<p>\u2714Cracked black pepper<\/p>\n<p>????Cut butternut into slices, and put into a deep pot with the sliced onion.<\/p>\n<p>Add enough water to cover the butternut, and bring to boil.<\/p>\n<p>????Once butternut has softened, add in the stock cube.<\/p>\n<p>Simmer until butternut is fully cooked, soft, and breaks apart when poked with a fork.<\/p>\n<p>????Remove from heat and blend. I use a stick blender.<\/p>\n<p>Add the evaporated milk, salt, teaspoon of sugar and black pepper to taste. Blend until fully incorporated. Return to heat and simmer for 2 minutes more.
